This video served as our submission to the National Academy of Engineer's fiftieth anniversary video competition. The prompt asked us to show how engineering positively impacts the welfare of society. Upon reading this, my mind immediately thought of my neighbor the University of Michigan Health System. Specifically within UMHS: Survival Flight.

Everything they do revolves around engineering and technological and biomedical breakthroughs discovered by engineers. While shooting this video, we learned about the helicopters, airplane, respirators, ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) machines, night vision goggles, and so much more. We had a blast filming this, and even though we did not win, the video tells the narrative we wanted it to tell.

I developed the concept for this video; I also produced, co-DP'ed, and co-edited this project over a 14-day turnaround.
